Find answers to common questions about Crochet Atelier
Our technology analyzes your description and reference images to create detailed, step-by-step crochet patterns. It then builds a 3D model of the pattern and flattens the various components towards crochetable pieces.
While our system is highly advanced, we recommend reviewing patterns before starting your project. Like any creative tool, adjustments might be needed. We encourage users to report any inconsistencies they find, which helps us improve the pattern generation. If you're unsure about any part of a pattern, our community is here to help!
In the current version of our AI, you'll need to create a new pattern with your desired changes. Use the same prompt and reference image, but add your specific modifications to the description (like "make the sleeves longer" or "add a pocket"). Please note that because of how our AI works, the new pattern may include additional variations beyond just your requested changes. Each generation creates a unique interpretation of your prompt.
Currently, we don't sell crochet materials directly. However, each pattern includes detailed information about the required materials, including yarn weights, hook sizes, and approximate quantities needed. We're working on partnerships with craft suppliers to provide direct links to recommended materials in the future. For now, you can find the specified materials at your local craft store or favorite online retailer.
Yes! Our AI is great at creating matching accessories for existing designs. Upload a photo of your original piece and describe the accessory you'd like to create. The AI will generate a pattern that complements your work, matching stitch patterns, sizes, and style. This is perfect for creating coordinated sets or expanding your existing projects with matching pieces.
Yes! During our beta phase, all features are completely free to use. While we may introduce pricing tiers in the future to ensure sustainability, we're committed to maintaining accessibility for our community. Early users will receive advance notice of any changes to our pricing structure.
We offer three difficulty levels: Easy, Medium, and Hard. While we aim to match the complexity to your chosen level, the creative nature of AI means that even 'Easy' patterns might include some challenging elements. We recommend reviewing the entire pattern before starting and don't hesitate to ask for help in our community if you encounter tricky sections. Remember, you can always regenerate the pattern with more specific requirements about the techniques you're comfortable with.
While we don't provide assistance with the practical aspects of crocheting (like how to make specific stitches or techniques), we do want to hear about any issues with our generated patterns. If you encounter unclear instructions or potential errors in a pattern, please use our feedback form to let us know. For help with crochet techniques, we recommend visiting r/crochet for beginner tutorials and a community of crocheters.
